What to expect:
An hour of singing a whole range of different songs from pop to folk to tunes from faraway lands. No previous experience necessary. You can expect songs that speak of nature and our natural world. There will also be time to explore the garden and I will provide some herbal tea to enjoy too!
This group is about connection, community, hope and finding our voices, in both nature and group singing. I hope to see this community grow, and you never know if you’re ever interested, my husband Darshan (the market gardener at Michael Hall School) may have some gardening jobs we can tackle after our singing sessions - only if that is of interest though, no pressure! I also plan to have spontaneous meet-ups here and there, including beach or forest sessions in the summer months when we don’t have our official gatherings.
Who is this singing group for?
It is for anyone who loves the outdoors and would like to commit to a practice of singing outside in a community on a Sunday morning.
It's perfect for those who have been to Herbs 𝄞 Harmony as we will occasionally explore the herbs that are growing around us. However, you do not have to have come to one of the courses before.
Children are more than welcome, and under 12s can join for free* with a parent or guardian!
Under 12s are free, but you’ll need to supervise them during the sessions, as the singing will be primarily focused on adults.
Pricing
My aim is to make this group as accessible as possible while also making it sustainable for myself - for this reason I offer various pricing options and there is a membership model which splits the cost throughout the year and works out much more economical. However, I know people like to have some freedom, especially at weekend so here you can buy a drop in ticket!
When you become a subscriber, supporter rate works out at £10 a session. Standard rate works out at £8 a session. Concessionary rate works out at around £6 a session. This costs is then split throughout the year so charges are made in July and August when there are no “official” sessions. Though I envisage many informal meet ups! Become a subscriber here
