About
Hi, I am Hannah, here to support you to discover the joy of connection through singing, storytelling, and herbal wisdom. Rekindling Abundance creates spaces where voices are heard, stories are shared and nature’s gifts are embraced. Join me in weaving community, creativity, and wellbeing into everyday life.
My approach
Warmth, playfulness and simplicity are woven through my work . I thrive when implementing group work that is collaborative and creative.
I take pleasure in creating spaces that elicit the knowledge and wisdom of the participants - this can be in 1-1 consultations, allowing the client to be truly empowered in understanding their own health and how they want to move forward, or in creative workshops where my belief is that everyone is a herbalist, a storyteller and a singer - they may just need the right encouragement and space to feel that.
At the heart of my work is a desire to deepen our connection with ourselves, to each other and to nature through simple activities or practices. I find that when we are connected to ourselves it is easier for us to deepen connection with others. All of this human (and non-human) connection leads to better health outcomes for ourselves and the planet.
My story
In the summer of 2017, seemingly by chance, a spark was lit within me, a spark that would change the trajectory of my life. It was then that my love for storytelling and herbal medicine first took root, setting me on a path of discovery that challenged my perceptions and deepened my connection with the world around me.
A year after that spark was lit I began a journey to train as a herbalist, and my whole worldview shifted. I no longer felt isolated; instead, I felt empowered and confident in my ability to care for myself and others. I learned to harness my innate skills and the support of the natural world to meet my needs and help those around me.
As I dived deeper into storytelling, I discovered the profound impact of singing as a means of connection. It wasn't about performing; it was about creating connection, and finding joy in the simplicity of shared experiences. This playful approach to life opened my eyes to the transformative power of stories and songs, helping me process life's challenges and see the world from new, vibrant perspectives. I began to feel more grounded, more human, and less driven by the constant pursuit of what I thought I should do to be successful.
After qualifying as a herbalist and establishing my practice, the arrival of my daughter introduced both challenges and opportunities. I adapted, focusing on sharing stories, encouraging others to find their voices through song, and imparting my knowledge of herbs. Today, I find immense joy in this work, guiding others to recognise their own innate abilities as storytellers, singers, and herbalists.
My training
My qualifications and experience are both broad and deeply rooted in a desire to learn and connect with others in meaningful ways. I hold a first-class degree in Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies from King’s College London, along with a CELTA qualification from International House Bogotá. My work with youth organisations and at a specialist education college has equipped me with training in areas such as safeguarding, mental capacity, motivational interviewing, and mentoring techniques.
Additionally, I trained as a herbalist at the Betonica School of Herbal Medicine, graduating with distinction from their comprehensive four-year programme. I've also participated in and led courses at the School of Storytelling, and I am proud to be a trained leader within the Singing Mamas movement.
